Parkour Founder David Belle helped in Dying Light Development

We can expect Dying Light in less than a week, and Techland waited that much to reveal that David Belle helped with the development. Never heard of him? Well, he is perhaps best known as the creator and shaper of what parkour is today, and he also played a part in District 13. David Belle has helped Techland in bringing the most authentic parkour animation possible.

“David’s influence really helped us push the parkour system to a point where it felt authentic yet still intuitive and worked perfectly in-game. We’ve had so many journalists and external playtesters say to us that this really is game-changer in terms of first person perspective freedom of movement,” told Game Director Adrian Ciszewski to the gaming press.

Interesting bit: the protagonist himself was a parkour instructor before the zombie apocalypse hit, so David Belle’s influence was here regardless of whether he was involved or not.
Dying Light will be available for PS4, Xbox One and PC on January 27.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
