20th Century Fox on Wednesday released their very first trailer for upcoming Hitman movie, Agent 47, which stars Homeland’s Rupert Friend, Star Trek’s Zachary Quinto, and Ciaran Hinds.
Agent 47, which was originally expected to star Fast and Furious actor Paul Walker before he died in a car crash, focuses on the genetically engineered killing machine played by Friend. As we can see in the trailer the movie will focus even more in gun blazing, explosions and pretty women and none of the stealth elements which are crucial to the game. They couldn’t even shave Hitman’s head correctly.
“Endowed with super-human strength, speed, stamina, and intelligence, Agent 47 is not someone you want to mess with, the trailer explains.” In the movie, he’s targeting a mega-corporation that is planning to “unlock the secret of Agent 47‘s past to create an army of killers whose powers surpass even his own.”
Also starring in the movie is Hannah Ware, whose character “may hold the secret to overcoming their powerful and clandestine enemies.” Hitman: Agent 47 opens this summer. It was directed by Aleksander Bach, a well-established commercials director.
The first Hitman movie was released in 2007’s Hitman, with Timothy Olyphant as the murderous bald hero.
