There’s always something exciting in seeing one game running on two console generations (or two different consoles) side by side at the same time, showing us the differences of the versions. This time around, Dark Souls II has received this treatment – it will soon drop onto PS4 with all three DLCs.
There is quite a difference between the two generations! While the PS3 version can only run in a 720p resolution, the PS4 edition easily throws it up to 1080p, while having anti-aliasing and V-sync as well. Although at some points the framerate dips a bit down around the 50s, it usually goes smoothly with 60. If you haven’t played From Software‘s game so far, this might be the time to buy it…
