We have previously been suspecting a new Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 game – that certain chef leak with the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5 logo behind him was alarming -, so it’s not really surprising to see Activision bringing back the franchise to life. THPS 5 will come to PS4 and Xbox One this year, and later on, the PS3/X360 version will follow.
The developers behind THPS5 will be Robomodo, the same group responsible for the terrible Ride, the still awful Shred and the weak THPS HD. Interestingly, some missions will allow us to get power-ups to shoot projectiles… no, we don’t understand this either, but it’s official, so we better believe it.
There will be an online mode as well, but no mentioning of the level editor yet. Hopefully, Robomodo will provide us some entertainment after their first three times!
