There might be a good question about why we wrote the N64 into the title, because Resident Evil 0 eventually saw the daylight on the Nintendo Gamecube. The answer is simple: this comparison throws the Nintendo 64 prototype (seen at the 1999 Tokyo Game Show) against the Gamecube and the HD Remaster versions – so we can see three platforms, not just two. The remake is going to be out in early 2016, for both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.
Obviously, the N64 version is different, but the Gamecube original and the remake can be directly put next to each other. Capcom seems to know what they are doing yet again, because the style is easily recreated from the first game’s remake. The Remaster has much more clearer and higher resolution textures and brighter colours, while the framerate and the audio quality is much higher. We can kinda understand why Capcom moved the project away from the N64: the cartridge would have meant space limitations!
