A South African website, namely Loot, has added a new item to the listing, which is about a game – or more like, a current-gen port -, that isn’t even announced: Dead Island: Definitive Edition for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, but of course, it got removed since. It’s too late, because we are already writing about it… However, they seem to know the release date for the port, their listing says November 13, which is a Friday. That makes sense, they also get the games out on the same day as Europe.
This entire thing is interesting because of Deep Silver throwing out Yager, who have been working on Dead Island 2 for several years now. The German team has announced earlier that the game will be only done in 2016. It seems Deep Silver wants to make up the losses by throwing out the 2011 Dead Island game on current consoles, while also probably taking attention away from the sequel’s fiasco. The question is, why do you have to re-release a 4 year old game?
