Square Enix and IO Interactive announced on the E3 that Hitman is going to be rebooted, making the bald Agent 47 slightly changed in the process. The PAX Prime panel of Square Enix has shown off some brand new gameplay of the Showstopper mission for the mercenary, and to top it off, they used the PlayStation 4 version to introduce some of the mechanics for us.
Of course, the game code is far from the final, so it’s admittedly an alpha version of the game, so don’t jump to conclusions about the game just yet. Still, we can see several ways to solve the mission, and obviously, the game will react differently to our moves too. This means replayability in the future. Also, there are a lot of NPCs, because we can see over three hundred of them scattered around. Showstopper perfectly presents the gameplay mechanics, while trying to avoid most of the spoilers of the upcoming game. A lot of possibilities and replayability is a good omen.
Hitman’s reboot will launch on December 8 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC triumvirate.
