The PlayStation 4 already received its price drop in Japan and then in the United States – the former area immediately reported a signifcant sales boost in its weekly sales data, but we will have to wait until November to see how much the 50 dollar price cut helped the sales of Sony’s console. Eventually, the European region will also get its turn, but we have only been guessing about when actually Sony will slash 50 euros off the price.
In France, it looks like the PlayStation 4 will cost 350 euros from as early as October 21, and the 1 terabyte model will cost 400 – still, Sony has not responded to this yet, and there’s a good reason why.
Several signs point to the announcement happening during Paris Game Week, which will begin on October 28, and it also looks like Sony is going to have a bigger presence there. Think about the rumours of Quantic Dream announcing their PS4-exclusive title during this event!
With the price drop, the PlayStation 4 will definitely be available to a bigger audience.
