A stronger PlayStation 4 with more powerful hardware…?

Yesterday, we wrote about Sony Computer Entertainment’s Vice Presiden Masayasu Ito’s interview with 4Gamers. He mentioned that they might plan to up the PlayStation 4‘s performance with firmware upgrades, also likely to give the console Ultra HD Blu-ray support. The console itself is quite successful, but Sony has several plans to progress. They have much more risky moves to move on…

The Japanese company plans to make a NEW PlayStation 4 with more powerful hardware, and that would be a new, so far never done step for Sony. In previous consoles, they only replaced some chips and the optical drives for lower power consumption, better performance and more reliability.

There is some logic behind their plan though, because some games are pretty much not able to have 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second only two years into this generation, and we haven’t even scratched the surface of 4K. However, they might entirely split up their customers, and that wouldn’t really be a good idea, would it?

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
