Today sees the release of Star Wars Battlefront on PS4, Xbox One and PC, but if this isn’t enough for you, you can hop into another Star Wars game on the PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation Vita. This game will be the 1992 Super Nintendo Entertainment System classic called Super Star Wars. This game was released on the Wii’s Virtual Console in 2009.
The title will be Cross-Buy, and it will also get a minor facelift: Sony promises new save features (probably savestates a la Mega Man Legacy Collection), leaderboards (ditto), trophies and updated display and controller options. Probably they mean a 16:9 resize under the display thing.
Super Star Wars will launch over the course of this week on the PlayStation Store. Why is this game getting a re-release? Why an originally Nintendo title? There are many more than that to relaunch, and obviously, we don’t mean the PlayStation-exclusive Masters of Teräs Käsi from 1997, because that game was terrible due to being unbalanced!
But when is this game launching? Today!
