Previously, when Sony celebrated their 25th million of PlayStation 4-s sold, we predicted that they will crack 30 million by the end of 2015. It just happened! We should play the lottery. According to Sony‘s brand new information, over 30.2 million consoles were sold by November 22. That is a very recent number then…
Obviously, the sudden boost can be related to the worldwide price cut of the PlayStation 4: it rolled out over the course of the autumn. First, Japan got the price cut, and then North America and in the end, the European region. You can now pick the 500 GB model up for just 350 dollars/euros, and for the old 400 price, you can grab a 1 TB PlayStation 4 model. With the average of 15 million consoles sold a year, Sony sold an average of almost 41096 consoles a day!
Those numbers are unbelievable. Congratulations, Sony; now it’s time to focus on launching the PlayStation 2-emulation and the big exclusive games over 2016. You must keep the pace up against Microsoft!
