Star Wars Battlefront: It sold around 13 million copies so far

Star Wars Battlefront was last year’s holiday season’s FPS game of Electronic Arts, as DICE wasn’t working on a Battlefield title (they are, however, started work on the next one – we wrote about it previously). Because of it, the publisher has set a quite high bar for this shooter – according to two analysts, it looks like the target has been reached.

Michael Pachter thinks Battlefront has sold 6 million copies on all three platforms total in both November and December – with a 55-dollar price tag, the game generated around 660 million dollars in revenue with 12 million copies. Another analyst Evan Wilson thinks that DICE‘s first-person shooter sold over 13 million copies already. That amount is exactly the amount Electronic Arts expected by March 31, 2016. While EA didn’t confirm this so far, it’s probably a mission complete for Star Wars Battlefront.

This means two things: one; Battlefront will get a sequel and two; EA can tick this box for their sales expectations.
