This announcement came out of nowhere. Bloodborne is expanding, but not in the way you think it would. From Software‘s IP is reaching out to a new area in a different way…
Eric Lang announced on his Twitter that he’s made a card game featuring the Chalice Dungeons and monsters. He’s not inexperienced: Previously he also worked on the Star Wars card game and the XCOM board game as well. Lang thinks his game is simple but still profound and interactive. It’s officially licensed, too! There will be no figures in the box, but we can expect „sweet components.” We wonder what he means by that comment…
The gameplay was described as the following: „risk management with a bit of group think, inventory management/upgrades, and tactical play in an intense 30-minute card game.” He added, „My goal with Bloodborne was to channel the intensity and frustration of the video game into a contest between players,” Lang said.
No release date and pricing was announced yet.
For those who follow me and have gotten to know my silly codenames for games-in-progress, this is Project Dream. pic.twitter.com/fqoKqJwCQx
