Origin tries to do everything to get more players use Electronic Arts‘ platform. This is why they made a recent game available for free. Which game is it, you ask?
It’s Coldwood Interactive’s Unravel, which launched on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on February 9. The Frostbite engine-using platformer is available for free for ten hours of gameplay. There is a little, unfortunate twist to this story: you can only check out the first level. After completion, you would be required to pay to continue the game, although the progression from the demo would be carried over.
If you want to try Unravel out, download the game here – you’re going to need an Origin account to grab the demo here.
It’s interesting that you can only play the first level, which can be completed in less than two hours even if you play it blind… and the free time is set to ten hours. Don’t Electronic Arts believe in their players?
