Last week, the official Overwatch forums exploded after one user complained about the initial pose of Tracer when she does Over the Shoulder, mentioning that it was „too sexist” that her butt was in the focus. Because of this (as well as the hundreds of posts), Blizzard decided to replace quickly the animation before the next beta even happens. However, it’s still a question how much Blizzard will be affected, if they keep continuing to fulfill the community’s requests and change things because of complaints – the team-based shooter game might be entirely different in the future.
Overwatch will launch on May 24 on PlayStation 4 / PC / Xbox One. Here’s a before-after comparison of Tracer’s pose:
