MOVIE NEWS – After a serious amount of time of waiting, Captain America: Civil War finally started screening to select journalists ahead of the first stop on a lengthy global press tour. And since Marvel Studios is indeed confident in what Joe and Anthony Russo have cooked up, they have removed the social media embargo, meaning Twitter became a hot-bed for Civil War reactions overnight.
So, what did critics and reporters think of Captain America’s third movie, and the first film in Marvel’s Phase Three of superhero epics? Eric Eisenberg from CinemaBlend was in attendance at an L.A. screening of Captain America: Civil War and had sait that about the anticipated film:
Thrilled to say that Captain America Civil War is a blast. Works great as a Cap 2 AND MCU sequel, and has Marvel’s best action scene yet.

Really incredible character work in #CivilWar. Spider-Man, Ant-Man & Black Panther kill it & Wanda/Vision & Bucky/Sam dynamics are wonderful

Germain Lussier at io9 Tweets:
I honestly don’t know how Civil War works. There’s so much going on but it does. Spidey is AMAZING. Made me smile & laugh till my face hurt

Mike Sampson and ScreenCrush posts:
‘Captain America: Civil War’ is so good, it’s a better Avengers movie than the last Avengers movie.

He also adds:
The big battle scene in #CivilWar is an absolute blast. Spider-Man, as you’d expect, steals the show. Ant-Man, as you might not, a close 2nd

And Mike Ryan at Uproxx sums it up with:
Oh yeah, the big fight in Captain America: Civil War is cinematic joy. And Spider-Man is so great. He’s in it more than I thought he’d be.
