Last year’s Call of Duty Black Ops III wasn’t a full-fledged title on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The prev-gen console version had no campaign, so if you wanted to check the story out, you either had to do so on PC, or on PS4/X1.
This year, old hardware owners won’t even get that anymore: Infinity Ward will not develop Infinite Warfare for anything else than PC/PS4/X1. Still, Activision tries to think of those who are still stuck with the older consoles so that they will have something else in store for them.
PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 will receive the Modern Warfare Trilogy. According to Best Buy, the collection would be out as early as May 17 in North America. Its cost would be 30 dollars. The package would contain the three Modern Warfare games and the Stimulus Pack DLC for MW2.
We have no information about a European release, but it would be a dumb move on Activision‘s end to skip Europe completely. The DLC choice also seems weird. One final question: isn’t this Trilogy late by 3-4 years?
