In the United States, NASCAR is popular racing series. The stock cars that run on (mostly, but not always) oval tracks, have been adapted to video games multiple times, but we haven’t seen them on the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One yet!
Monster Games has announced that they are working on NASCAR Heat Evolution. The developers are comfortable with racing games: they made Viper Racing in 1998, followed by NASCAR Heat 2002, NASCAR Dirt to Daytona, and Test Drive Eve of Destruction for the PS2 in the first half of the 2000s.
The game will have 23 licensed tracks, AI and Speed Rating that adjust to the player’s skill level, and a Challenge mode as well. It’s going to launch on September 13 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
It has been in development for 18 months, so we can expect the devs to come out with a better game than Eutechnyx’s NASCAR 15. (This team worked on Ride to Hell, lol.)
