MOVIE NEWS – Dwayne Johnson, the wrestler-turned-actor (real name Dwayne Johnson) told the press that he finds the future in politics “alluring.” The muscle-bound movie star of two Fast & The Furious flicks made a smooth transition from WWE champion to a movie star. Now looks for even more career options.
It would be an interesting question what The Rock thinks about global warming or the controversial North Carolina “bathroom bill.” Still, he definitely wouldn’t be the strangest star to go for the presidency, and it’s not always a recipe for disaster. After all, Ronald Reagan was a movie star for 27 years before he became US president.
The Rock has told GQ magazine that he likes the prospect of a political future.
“It would be an opportunity to make a real impact on people’s lives on a global scale. But there are a lot of other things I want to do first,” he says.
He later jested on Twitter that he was certain the White House would have space for him to park his pick-up truck.
Cool piece on why I should run for President. Maybe one day. Surely the White House has a spot for my pick up truck..https://t.co/JpkZ4w1eh3
