The French website Gameblog wrote an article about the Nintendo NX. According to them, Nintendo can start the autumn by the reveal of their new console.
The article says that the NX had an original launch date of November 2016, but Nintendo decided to push it back to March. The delay can help the third-party developers (such as Capcom, and Square Enix) to provide more or higher-quality games for the launch. Power-wise the NX is related to the PlayStation 4 NEO. This comparison is probably due to Sony‘s console arriving on the market earlier than Microsoft’s Xbox Project Scorpio. The operating system is possibly Android-related, although some sources claimed it and others denied it, so take this with a grain of salt.
When it comes to new games, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (originally released for the Wii) might be getting remastered. That is plausible, as the two Zelda games predating Skyward Sword (Wind Waker, Twilight Princess) both received a Wii U remaster. There’s also a new Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros. title in development as well!
The NX could be revealed in September. That time of year is close to the Tokyo Game Show. As we’re talking about a Japanese company, presenting the new console in front of the local audience seems like a logical move. Because of this decision, perhaps we may see the PlayStation 4 NEO shown off to the public at the Gamescom, but we have heard that it might not happen, though. Nintendo doesn’t want their hardware to be overpriced. Their worry makes sense: remember, the PS3 had a 500/600 $/€ launch price for the 20, and the 60-gigabyte model, respectively.
We’ll see in September if this information is valid or not.
Still, CD Projekt RED, from whom we have seen The Witcher series, with GWENT and Cyberpunk 2077 on the horizon, might be supporting the new Nintendo console. Fabian Mario Döhla, the communications manager of CDPR, seems to be in damage control mode after his interview with Rocket Beans TV. In the video below, he titled the upcoming Nintendo console „fantastic”.
@MyNintendoNews Haha. This whole stream was full of ‘everything is awesome’ jokes. And I also said I work for Bethesda 🙂
