UPDATE:
Resident Evil‘s seventh numbered installment is fairly deep into its development phases despite over half a year away from launching.
According to Capcom, the game, which will be available for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One, as well as virtual reality support, is now 65 percent complete. The developers are now focusing on the design of Resident Evil 7 to don’t have that aspect lacking.
The game will be out on January 24 with possibly a Resident Evil 2 remake demo.
ORIGINAL:
Resident Evil 7: Biohazard (which, funnily, is called Biohazard 7: Resident Evil in Japan) might have an extra goodie for us when it launches.
On the NeoGAF forums (), the following discovery was made that was also published by VG24/7. Resident Evil 7’s playable teaser has a loading screen – this is the first image below our article -, which has a seemingly harmless line of numbers and letters.
584fdUS-00551/90009. At first sight, it probably would mean nothing. However, have a look at the other image! Resident Evil: Director’s Cut on the PS1, which included a Resi 2 demo, had two product ID-s: SLUS-00551 and SLUS-90009. Those numbers are the same down to a tee.
Resident Evil 7, which launches on January 24 on PC, PS4, and X1, might make history repeat itself, and include a demo for Resident Evil 2‘s remake!
