There’s something that the base PlayStation 4 model is lacking, but the Slim edition might fix this issue.
The standard console doesn’t support 5GHz Wi-Fi, which could be a problem for those who doesn’t want to hook their PS4s online with an Ethernet cable, and their router is further than usual. Shortman82 on Twitter (who first showed the console as a legit thing) showed a photo of the manual, which also mentioned that the redesigned PlayStation 4 would have two versions.
While the PlayStation 4 Slim looks awkward, the new functions (don’t forget, it might arrive with the 4.0 firmware right out of the box!) might make us forget how it can look like a grill.
The PlayStation 4 Slim is likely to get a reveal on September 7 at the PlayStation Meeting in New York.
