Capcom‘s three recent re-releases are at 500k per each game average.
Resident Evil 4, 5, and 6 all received a PlayStation 4 and Xbox One port. 6 arrived in March, followed by 5 in June, and 4 in August. In total, the three games shipped 1.5 million copies. (Tricky: Capcom didn’t say sales, so they are probably not going to say how many sales the games did achieve.) The Resident Evil games also got physical versions in North America for twenty dollars a pop. (Europe gets them in December.)
According to Capcom‘s press release, North-America took two-thirds with one million, and they also announced that the franchise has 69 million sales over the 111 (!) games. While the total figure looks outstanding, in average across all those titles, it’s not that sharp.
The twenty-year-old Resident Evil franchise expands with 7 in January with PlayStation VR support, and 2’s remake is also in development.
