Level-5 also participated in the PlayStation Experience.
We can’t say more about the game than the fact that it looks artistic. The visuals would absolutely fit into a modern anime (even without Studio Ghibli’s direct involvement in Ni No Kuni II!), although the soundtrack, scored by Joe Hisashi, is way better than what that genre usually offers. The story feels a bit tiresome (kingdom, lost throne, aim is to reclaim it), but maybe the gameplay will be able to compensate that.
In the trailer, we see some cutscenes, a bit of combat, and the world map also got a makeover – the characters are in chibi form on it.
Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is slated for a 2017 release on PlayStation 4.
