There are no more delays; the game is ready to be manufactured.
Tecmo Koei has posted a Japanese language tweet about how the long awaited action-adventure RPG has been completed, which means they are ready to make Blu-ray discs for it for those who doesn’t like to buy their games digitally. The tweet can be translated as such:
„„Nioh” has safely succeeded in mastering up. Thanks to everyone who waited for such a long time. Finally, it will release February 9 (Thu)! There are no more delays.”
Mastering up is the Japanese terminology for going gold. Don’t forget, this PlayStation 4-exclusive (of course, with PS4 Pro-support) is set during the early 1600s in a fictionalized dark fantasy version of the Sengoku period. Our hero is called William, a Westerner who travels to Japan in pursuit of an enemy. As Nioh is heavily inspired by the Souls games, expect to see William die a few… few hundred times.
If even Nioh ends up as an available game, what’s going to take its mantle as „a game that has been in development for quite a long time?” Will it be Capcom’s Deep Down?
