The Japanese company did not take the blame for the detachable Switch controllers, the Joy-Cons‘ issues.
We knew about the problem for weeks: the Joy-Con can be desyncing, or not even work despite our button presses, for which Nintendo blamed household items, such as aquariums. However, it turns out that the Joy-Con issues were happening because of a „manufacturing variation.” Nintendo told Kotaku that there is „no widespread proactive repair or replacement effort is underway,” and they already addressed the issue in production, so newer Switches will not encounter this problem. If we cannot get to play properly, we can send the mini controller to Nintendo, and they can repair it for free and return it in even a week, depending on our location.
They still have the display’s scratching issue if we put it into the dock – however, buying something from here could be a good idea.
First runs of hardware isn’t always perfect, and the Switch just proves it. The joke? You can repair the Joy-Con by simply putting a piece of foam inside!
