If he manages to hit the quality he had set up five years ago; the plot will not be a problem!
On Twitter, the announcement came: Walt Williams will be the writer of the campaign for Star Wars Battlefront II, together with Mitch Dyer, a former editor of IGN. Who is Walt Williams, you ask? Well, in 2012, he was the writer of Spec Ops: The Line with Richard Pearsey, and in that game, his work was, simply put, astonishing. That game’s one of the positives was the story.
This announcement means that Star Wars Battlefront II, which is out on November 17 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (or November 14 if you get the deluxe version), will have a well thought out campaign. Electronic Arts and DICE/Criterion/Motive won’t just lazily slap together the single-player portion of the game in thirty minutes, which is a great thing.
Excited to finally reveal what @MitchyD and I have been working on for the last year. Can’t wait for you to meet Inferno Squad. #StarWars https://t.co/J4qJlWMmxH
