Tarsier Studios’ game (LittleBigPlanet PS Vita, LittleBigPlanet 3, Tearaway Unfolded) was technically described by its (upcoming) publisher, Bandai Namco.
Originally this puzzle-adventure title was announced as Hunger in 2014, but since then, a few things have changed, and meanwhile, we learned that the development, which is utilizing Unreal Engine 4, has a few technological details, such as the frame rate and the resolution for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro.
On a basic PlayStation 4, expect Little Nightmares to run at 1080p and 30 frames per second. The PlayStation 4 Pro pushes the game above the original PS4 by a bit: 1620P resolution (that sounds a bit stupid, but that’s 75% of 4K), and mostly 60 frames per second – 70% of the game should be having a solid frame rate, and the remaining 30% should be hovering between 50 and 60 FPS. Weird – is it hard to optimize the game properly on consoles?
The game is out on April 28 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Pre-ordering on GOG will net you a free INSIDE copy, too!
