The Ukrainian team seemed to have taken on an impossible mission.
Andriy Prokhorov, the studio’s creative director, revealed to Polygon why they were silent about the new Metro game until the E3 reveal. „Why have we kept silent for so longBecause three years ago, we thought this game was almost impossible. It’s really hard work, because [Glukhovsky] is very passionate in person”, the creative director explained. “He’s always trying to get us to do more. ‘Let’s do that!’ Well, you know, it’s technically not impossible, but it’s just not possible. ‘But why?!’”
So there may be some financial support behind the scenes by Deep Silver, the publisher, which doesn’t seem to be a bad move altogether. Metro Exodus will launch in 2018 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
