The Internet was so upset about Paint that Microsoft had to think twice.
Yesterday, we wrote how Windows 10 will kick the 32-year-old Paint image editing software out. Megan Saunders, a manager at Microsoft, said the following on the blog: „Today, we’ve seen an incredible outpouring of support and nostalgia around MS Paint. If there’s anything we learned, it’s that after 32 years, MS Paint has a lot of fans. It’s been amazing to see so much love for our trusty old app. MS Paint is here to stay, it will just have a new home soon, in the Windows Store where it will be available for free.”
As Paint, which, apparently, has no space in Windows 10, has over one hundred million users (!) each month, this is the least that Microsoft should do. A wise decision.
