Until June 30, millions of Switches were sold – the hybrid console/handheld launched in early March.
According to the fresh financial report of Nintendo, until June 30, the company has sold 4.7 million Switches, and software-wise, the tally is at 13.6 million – counting a quick average, one Switch got 2.89 games each. Most of the game sales are for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (3.92 million), and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (3.54 million). (The next killer app is going to be Splatoon 2: in Japan, during the first week, it already sold over six hundred thousand (!!!) copies…) 1, 2, Switch sold 1.22, while ARMS sold 1.18 million copies, respectively.
Despite the outstanding performance, Nintendo still doesn’t change its expectations to sell 10 million Switches by March 2018. At this point, it seems unlikely for them to not hit the target…
