Mario Is Not A Plumber Anymore!

Nintendo‘s mascot doesn’t work with pipes anymore, it seems.

Nintendo‘s Japanese website has changed Mario‘s biography. Kotaku has translated it. A quote follows:

„All around sporty, whether it’s tennis or baseball, soccer or car racing, [Mario] does everything cool. As a matter of fact, he also seems to have worked as a plumber a long time ago…” Apparently, he doesn’t have a new job, judging by this quote. Weird.

Shigeru Miyamoto told USA Today seven years ago that when Mario first showed up in 1981, in Donkey Kong, he was „basically a carpenter,” but in 1983’s Mario Bros., they „decided he could be a plumber.”

Mario could easily be a playboy at this rate – he also worked as a golfer and a doctor, too (and the funny thing is that Miyamoto said he’s either 24 or 25 years old!).

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
