CD Projekt‘s boss said something that might relate to it.
Adam Kiciński, the head of the company, was interviewed by Polish Strefa Inwestorow, which was translated by a ResetEra user, Cornbread78. Kiciński said that currently, CD Projekt RED has zero plans for The Witcher 4, as they have planned Geralt’s story as a trilogy all along.
Still, they don’t plan to abandon The Witcher’s world behind – they will „probably” make a new game in the universe to keep the fans and the investors happy, which means it’d likely be a spin-off with new characters. Regarding Cyberpunk 2077, he said that it’s a bigger scale title than The Witcher 3 was, and he hopes that it will also be more successful than their 2015 game. They plan new features for GWENT next year, as they mostly spent this year for balancing.
We’re waiting for new details, regardless of the game!
