THQ Nordic trusts the game so much that the publisher purchased both the IP and its developer!
THQ Nordic, who formerly was known as Nordic Games, bought several ex-THQ IPs, and the company is slowly growing. This time, the team purchased a Swedish developer group, Experiment 101, who is currently developing an open world action-RPG, Biomutant. This team was founded in 2015 by Stefan Ljungqvist, who left Avalanche Studios (Just Cause trilogy, Mad Max), where he worked as a game director and an art director.
THQ Nordic is loyal to its name, as they are not ignoring the Scandinavian region. They now have four Swedish teams under their control, as well as two German studios (Grimlore, Black Forest), plus Rainbow Studios in Arizona, an ex-THQ team.
Biomutant will get more information in 2018. Until then, it’s in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
