A promising game with a genial concept.
Du Lac & Fey is an adventure game, set in the 19th century London (1888), featuring two characters: Sir Lancelot Du Lac (an immortal knight) and Morgana Le Fey (a sorceress cursed into a body of a dog, able to speak…). There will also be a third playable character: Mary Kelly will look for clues, investigate the locals, and look around the crime scenes.
The game has a point-and-click approach, where our goal would be finding Jack the Ripper, who is rampant, as the Whitechapel murders are happening. Each character will have unique skills, which should be encouraging players to switch between them, making finding clues and lining up how the crimes happened easier than ever. (Somehow, this synopsis reminds us of 2016’s Agatha Christie: The ABC Murders…)
Du Lac & Fey: Dance Of Death is looking for money on Kickstarter: with 16 days left, it has 20950 dollars out of a 53022 dollar goal. Salix Games won’t focus on just the enjoyable visuals: they confirmed that Gareth David-Lloyd from Dragon Age: Inquisition will be the voice actor of Du Lac. If the campaign is successful, the game should launch in the middle of 2018.
