Is Assassin’s Creed: Rogue Getting A Re-Release?

Assassin’s Creed Rogue HD – we haven’t heard this name yet, but Ubisoft’s plans are leaking.

The name, however, is not a creative one: the PlayStation 3/Xbox 360/PC original already ran on HD resolution even on the prev-gen consoles, so the Italian retailer sites, such as ePrice, ReluxShop and Webster, have the listing in an awkward state. They revealed that the French publisher is planning a PlayStation 4/Xbox One re-release (or… „remaster”) for the Autumn 2014 game, which launched at the same time as Unity (who had terrible performance issues at launch).

Ubisoft‘s approach – somewhat – makes sense, but naming it HD is awkward. Shouldn’t it be just called Assassin’s Creed: Rogue? The 18th-century French-Indian war in North America would be appreciated on the PlayStation 4… as long as it runs good enough. It might launch in mid-March, for thirty euros/dollars. Not bad.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
