Bandai Namco will provide Gundams for everyone. Or, at least, their models.
Gundam Breaker isn’t a series you’d commonly know – the first two installments launched on PlayStation 3, but the third game came out on PlayStation 4 in 2016. The newest chapter, called New Gundam Breaker, is going to use Unreal Engine 4, and it will also be available in the Americas and Europe, not just Japan.
In this game, you’ll be able to „break” the enemy robots, only to use their parts on your Gunpla (a Gundam model is called a Gunpla in Japan). There’s also a promise for „completely new game content,” as well as an addition of a „real-time customization battle,” where we can switch out Gunpla parts during combat. In case the leg would get damaged, the Gunpla would still be capable of doing certain moves, as they are built on frames.
New Gundam Breaker will launch in 2018 in the West on PlayStation 4. Bandai Namco will provide more details on January 28.
