Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice Gets Another Award!

The Ninja Theory game, which aimed between the AAA and indie approaches, receives more praise.

The Writers’ Guild of Great Britain awarded the „Best Writing in a Video Game” award to Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. The award was collected by Elizabeth Ashman-Rowe and Tameem Antoniades. We could end right here, but it wouldn’t be fair if we didn’t mention the rival games. Ninja Theory’s work beat Battlefield 1 and Subsurface Circular among many others. In 2016, this award was won by Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture, followed by Virginia in 2017.

Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice has become a profitable (digital-only) game, which beautifully portrayed psychosis, a serious mental illness. Each sale now earns the profit for Ninja Theory, which is well deserved. Congratulations to the developers!

Anikó, our news editor and communication manager, is more interested in the business side of the gaming industry. She worked at banks, and she has a vast knowledge of business life. Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
