The PlayStation Network ran into technical problems, and the issue is not in your device… or was?
The network problems surfaced at around 10-11 AM Pacific: a few games, applications or online services just didn’t work properly. The issues were noted by Sony’s Ask PlayStation Twitter account. The message was repeated at around 9 PM Pacific, which means there were still problems at that point…
However, if we look at the PlayStation Network’s status page, we already see that everything is all working properly. GameSpot () reports that there were problems with the PlayStation Vue service, though, before everything was restored.
What happened? We’ll likely not going to get an answer: Sony is usually silent when it comes to discussing downtime caused by technical issues… or if they ended up being the target of a DDoS attack. If you had problems yesterday with the PlayStation Network with PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita or PlayStation 4, you now know it wasn’t your ISP acting up…
