The Resistance DLC – as expected by Call of Duty games’ DLC – expands the World War II shooter with multiple levels. The new trailer puts them in the spotlight.
You can read a detailed description of the three maps on the PlayStation Blog, but it’s the weekend, we’d rather not go into extensive details about them, so we’ll keep it short.
Anthropoid is located in Prague, with a river running through the map in the middle (if our geography is spot on, it should be the Vitava river), and it was inspired by Operation Anthropoid, which happened on May 27, 1942, when one high ranked Nazi officer, Reinhard Heydrich was shot in Prague. (He died because of his injuries on June 4.) Occupation is your typical „old map remade” approach in Paris, while Valkyrie’s inspiration was The Wolf’s Lair, Hitler’s headquarters in East Prussia during Operation Barbarossa.
The Resistance DLC will also expand the Nazi Zombies with the new chapter, and there will also be a new War mode mission (we talked about both before). It will launch on January 30 on PlayStation 4, followed by possibly an early March release on Xbox One and PC. Until then, you can play the free Resistance event on all three platforms. (We wrote about the event in detail previously.)
