Konami would milk the franchise without Kojima, and it might happen with the method that requires the least creativity.
The first Metal Gear Solid game launched in Japan on September 3, in 1998, followed by an October 21, and a February 22, 1999, release in North America and Europe, respectively. The game is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, and it might get an updated, remade version. Multiple Spanish publications seem to claim this.
You might immediately say fake news, but let us tell you who they claim to be the remake’s developer. Bluepoint Games. Shadow of the Colossus, Gravity Rush Remastered, Uncharted The Nathan Drake Collection, and these are just their PlayStation 4 works… and we’re not saying much if we say they are good at remaking/porting games.
As the whole thing seems to be quite fishy at the moment, let’s wait until Konami or Sony (remember, MGS launched on PS1, then on PC, followed by The Twin Snakes remake on GameCube…) confirms it.
