Kaz Hirai is handing the leadership over to Kenichiro Yoshida.
Sony announced that Kazuo Hirai, Sony’s CEO and president, will hand over his positions on April 1 to Kenichiro Yoshida, who is currently the current Director, Representative Corporate Executive Officer, Executive Deputy President, and Chief Financial Officer of Sony Corporation. Hirai becomes Sony Corporation’s Chairman and a director. Is his name familiar? He was the main character of Sony’s E3 2006 presentation, which… let’s admit it, was embarrassing. All we have to say is RIIIIIIIDGE RAAAACEEEEEEER! Have a look at his performance; then we’ll continue.
DualShockers reports that despite Kaz Hirai will not be the leader of the company anymore, he will support Kenichiro Yoshida, and he says that he’ll still try to provide advice to keep the PlayStation brand’s success going.
Kazuo Hirai took the CEO and President role at Sony in April 2012, which means he played a pivotal role in the success of the PlayStation 4. He did a lot for the company in the past six years, so all we have to say is „thank you!”
