Another game is getting its release date pushed back – it’s time to get used to it. There’s a bit of positive news in the situation, though.
In a week, we saw three (!) games getting delayed by their publishers – Anthem was moved to early 2019, Red Dead Redemption 2 was pushed from Spring to October (and the initial plan was Autumn 2017…), and Yakuza 6: The Song of Life‘s originally planned March 20 launch was moved back to April 17 in the West.
Let’s see SEGA‘s statement: „Yakuza 6: The Song of Life‘s release is being moved back a month to April 17. This was a tough business decision we didn’t make lightly. But—with bad news, we also have some good—this gives us more time to line things up for launch, and on February 27, the demo for Yakuza 6 will be available and will allow players to bring their save into the game on release. This will be the first time everyone will have a chance to play the game (a moment we have long been anticipating!), and we can’t wait to hear what you think about it. We have many new plans to reveal over the coming weeks to give you all more insight into the series, so stay tuned!”
At least the PlayStation 4-exclusive is getting a demo on February 27 before the game will (hopefully) hit the shelves on April 17. That’s better than nothing… although let’s not forget that God of War will be out on April 20. That’s going to hit SEGA‘s sales…
