Sony will make the redesigned, new Gold wireless headset available shortly.
The company announced on the PlayStation Blog that the new Gold wireless headset will try to make up for the somewhat sub-par quality of the old one (which cost 100 dollars, and it wasn’t something we’d have expected from Sony…). Let’s see what they have to say about the new Gold headset:
„[…]The new headset maintains everything you loved about the original while featuring a new sleek design with refined over-ear cushions that make it even more comfortable for long gaming sessions. The high fidelity 7.1 virtual surround sound intensifies the audio experience within compatible games, and the improved augmented noise-canceling hidden microphones provide crisp, clear communication with your friends and teammates. With the included 3.5mm audio cable, the Gold wireless headset is compatible with PlayStation VR and mobile devices. The new design makes the Gold wireless headset extra comfortable to wear with PS VR.”
The headset will be out in February in the United States (still for a hundred dollars), but the European blog says that „it’s coming soon,” which means we got the short end of the stick yet again…
