Sony believes a lot in the return of Kratos, so it’s not surprising to see them step their advertising game up to the next level.
NBA. Without a doubt, it’s North America’s one of three major sports (the other two being NFL and NHL), and this is where Sony steps in. In the Oakland stadium’s playfield, they managed to display the PlayStation 4-exclusive God of War, which seemed to have a bit of isometric look. Why does this low-quality video remind us of Diablo all of a sudden? The idea is brilliant.
Sony’s other marketing plan is related to LootCrate. The service which offers monthly boxes of goodies will have a limited God of War crate, which is going to cost 50 dollars. (In a few select countries, such as Canada, Mexico, Japan, South Korea, it’ll be 75 + shipping.)
The contents of the package weren’t discussed yet, but it’s meant to be the „perfect companion” to the game, and it will include at least one hoodie amongst other officially licensed items. The box will be available after the game hits the shelves.
God of War is out on April 20, exclusively on PlayStation 4.
