Street Fighter will have a television series with actors

The story will be based on the classic Street Fighter 2, with Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, and Guile as protagonists.

The producer responsible for films like Saving Soldier Ryan has won the rights to produce a television series with real actors based on the successful Street Fighter saga of Capcom, and the creative team in charge of it will be the authors of the well-known series from YouTube Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist.

Without much detail about this new production of Entertainment One, it has been confirmed that the story of the series will revolve around the mythical Street Fighter II: The World Warrior, with Ryu, Guile, Chun-li, and Ken as protagonists of the television fiction. The villain, of course, will be the fearsome M. Bison.

“One of the strengths of Street Fighter is its great variety of characters from different ethnic groups and the powerful women that appear in the game,” said one of the makers of this production. “This will allow us to build an attractive and inclusive television universe.” For his part, the producer of video games, the veteran Yoshinori Ono, stressed that after “a long search, guided by the team after Assassin’s Fist, we are happy to partner with a company with so much experience in television.”

At the moment there has been talking about the actors who will play the different protagonists of this television fiction, nor has a release date been offered for the new television series based on Street Fighter. In this same news, we attach the trailer of the Street above Fighter series: Assassin’s Fist, which gave such good feelings among fans of the Capcom franchise that this year celebrates 30 years with the launch of its Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection.
