We can expect something like that from a PlayStation 4-exclusive…
Previously, we wrote about what differences will be between the PlayStation 4 (old model/Slim) and the PlayStation 4 Pro if we run Detroit: Become Human, Quantic Dream‘s next game, on both of them. However, the story takes not one, but two twists!
IGN First interviewed the developers, but we’d like to point the attention to Christophe Brusseaux, the art director.
He says that the game will run on a native 4K resolution on PlayStation 4 Pro. That goes against the slide that Quantic Dream showed during their GDC presentation (which said checkerboard 4K upscaling), so what Brusseaux said is simply not true.
In fact, even Sony had to comment on the subject, as IGN updated their article. The console manufacturer said that the story of the androids are NOT running on a native 4K on PlayStation 4 Pro, but in a checkerboard upscaling. (Which confirms Quantic Dream’s presentation.)
Detroit: Become Human will launch on May 25, as a PlayStation 4-exclusive.
