The developers stood a new challenge for themselves.
Sure, the otherwise decent title is somewhat old, but it launched on Xbox One on April 11. Ninja Theory came up with a challenge: if they reach a fixed number with the Xbox One sales, they will donate half of the sales amount to charity (and their game has been profitable already, so they can afford to do it, too).
Yesterday, they announced on Twitter that on Microsoft’s console, they already sold fifty thousand copies, which means they will donate 25 thousand dollars to Mental Health America. If they reached one hundred thousand yesterday, then they will also double the ante and donate 50 thousand bucks to the non-profit mental health organization.
As Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is a game about someone with a mental health issue (psychosis, to be exact), the idea is excellent. Respect!

We’ve hit our target of selling 50K units of #Hellblade on #XboxOne in Week 1!
We can now donate $25K to Mental Health America @MentalHealthAm !
We still have 1 day of Week 1 left, so let’s hit our stretch goal of 100K units! If we do it by Apr 18 we can donate $50K! pic.twitter.com/chXYOvkzZ2
