Call of Cthulhu, which has been in development for roughly for years, gets another release window, but we can’t believe it yet.
Cyanide Studios has been developing the game adaptation of Chaosium’s pen-and-paper RPG for several years. It was reannounced (!) in 2016 when they set a release date for 2017. They couldn’t keep this date, as it was delayed to „2018,” but without a month and a day. Now, we can at least pin the release window down a bit.
Call of Cthulhu, which will combine RPG and investigation, has a Steam page that says the game will launch in Fall 2018 on PC, and since Focus Home Interactive isn’t a small publisher anymore, we can count on a PlayStation 4 and Xbox One release as well close to the end of the year.
Let’s hope it won’t be delayed again „to polish the game.” If it launches too close to Red Dead Redemption 2 (October 26), it might be overshadowed by Rockstar’s game, which we wouldn’t like. The E3 trailer shows a lot of promise, though…
