Remedy, the Finnish developer team responsible for the first two Max Payne games, as well as Alan Wake, Quantum Break, and a few others started to reveal details about their next title.

Before the E3, we knew Control as Project 7/P7, but it was adequately revealed during Sony’s press conference. It combines several styles, as its inspirations are confirmed to be the conspiracy (conspiracy theories?), horror, and even sci-fi. The Finns believe the game is in a „new, weird” genre, and we can’t argue with them.

A weird location, and a woman with supernatural skills – with these elements, Remedy openly wants to „return to the roots,” and they also said in the video that the game’s story „introduces both the player and Jesse to the world,” as both are going to be rookies with the Bureau, the central agency in Control. Jesse’s dark history also was mentioned, and by joining the Bureau, she is looking for answers.

Control will launch next year on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
